The story behind the Béibhinn

Maeve, Aoife and Niamh, with the dogs they care for.

For us, dogs have always been part of our lives.

The three of us share a deep love for animals, and years ago we decided to create a small place of our own where we could care for dogs who need a second chance. It is a very special place to us.

Every day we spend time with different dogs, each one with their own story, their own personality and their own way of showing affection. Some arrive frightened, others simply need time to trust again. But they all end up teaching us the same thing.

A dog's love comes with no conditions.

That feeling is what inspired the Béibhinn. We wanted to hold in one small symbol what we see here every day: the bond between a person and their dog. The woman on the necklace holds her dog close to her heart, in one simple, quiet gesture. It is that hug we all know.

The hug after a hard day. The moment on the sofa when they fall asleep beside you. The way they welcome you home. The feeling that, no matter what happens, someone there loves you exactly as you are.

That is the love we wanted to keep in this piece. And maybe that is why the Béibhinn is not only our story. It is yours too. Because anyone who has truly loved a dog knows they stop being just animals. They become family.
